Unless Usman can somehow out-box or kickbox Chimaev while avoiding takedowns, I don't see how he wins this fight. He has no submission game to fall back on, so all he can do in the grappling is hope to survive and somehow get back to his feet, because I think Chimaev is too big and explosive to be held down by a career WW. I feel like if Usman wants a win he'll have to risk it big here.

as heartbroken as I am about Oliveira's cut, if I'm being unbiased, Volkanovski vs Makhachev 2 is a better fight anyways (regardless of Volk taking it on short notice). and now that Usman vs Chimaev is official, I think I can safely say that the pullouts have taken this card up a notch. so hyped 🔥🔥🔥

I'll say this, though; if Oliveira doesn't get a shot at the title again, I will forever hate the events that have transpired over the past 24 hours

Yeah I wanna be a hater but Short notice or not these fights are probably better than the originals.
Gamrot though got screwed out of his replacement slot which is odd but I don't make the rules.

Usman has only been take down and control once and it was against Leon, He no easy guy to outgrapple, and Usman have hands and knockout power, If Usman don’t look old, it’s a real winnable fight for him

Honestly i favour Khamzat because of the combination of Usman being older, and fighting on ten day notice, But I think it winnable for Usman

Why is walker the only MF that was not hit with an injury? I swear only my favorite fighters get struck down by the MMA gods. Looking at the Bright side, the fights are still gonna happen and the new opponents are just as great as the last ones, so i will just shut my mouth and enjoy it. Let's hope this is the last surprise this event brings us.
